For over 20 years Earth River has pioneered rafting trips around the world, discovering classics like Patagonia's Futaleufu River. Chile rafting was in its infancy when we made the first raft descent of this remarkable natural treasure in 1991. From that time on, our specialty has been running safe, multi-camp, wilderness expeditions; a rare reprieve from an often harried daily life. In order to meet this challenge on the Futaleufu, which is too demanding for baggage boats, we purchased four remote, wilderness camps along the river which are limited to 16 guests.
Recently, after 20 years of searching, we discovered a journey that rivals our Futaleufu expedition. Peru's Yavero River offers world class whitewater, scenery, wildlife and culture. Imagine combining Machu Picchu with a native jungle lodge, a remote Macaw lick , a water-falled laced canyon bordering Manu National Park and wonderful whitewater rafting and inflatable kayaking.
